Traditional PLPs are designed for speed and efficiency. Grid. Filters. Scroll. Done.

But that layout doesn’t leave space for storytelling or brand identity. It treats every product the same, no matter how meaningful. There’s no pause, no context — just a push to get users from A to B as quickly as possible.

We wanted to change that.

The Insight

Standard PLPs strip out the chance to say anything. They flatten everything down to “here’s some stuff to buy”.

But for brands with more to say, that’s a missed opportunity. So we built a new kind of PLP — one that blends products with content, editorial with commerce, and speed with storytelling.

What We Did

We developed a modular, narrative-style PLP built on Hyvä.

It swaps the rigid grid for flexible content blocks: hero banners, copy, quotes, videos, callouts — all layered alongside product listings. It’s fully customisable in Magento admin, so merchants can curate layouts themselves.

Filters and SEO still work. Load speeds stay fast. But the experience feels human, intentional, and brand-led.

And because it’s modular, you can use it where it makes sense — no need to go all-in everywhere.
